ATLANTIC - Power - Escape Music, 2008
One of today's best labels is Escape Music. Khalil Turk and co. don't excel in quantity, but succeed in bringing us quality releases, both new and old! And speaking of old, this reissue of Atlantic's "Power" is an absolute must have for anyone who loves great AOR/melodic rock from the UK. Originally released by Music For Nations in 1994, this "Power" easily reached the top-10 in our annual poll of that year. No wonder if you listen to the album again now, featuring such gems like "It's Only Love", "Power Over Me", "Hands Of Fate", "Every Beat Of My Heart", "Nothing To Lose" and "Hard To Believe". All I can do, is advise you to purchase a copy pronto. Featuring the up-tempo bonus track "Heart's On Fire", this album is on par with the best ones from Dare and Shy, to name just a couple. It's a shame that it only lasted for one album.
