Rock Report reissue review
DOMINOE - The Key - NL Distribution, 2009
I have a soft spot for German hard rock bands, especially when they produce AOR and/or melodic rock. As such it pleases me to see that NL Distribution has decided to reissue the best album of Dominoe, namely "The Key". This album was originally released by Virgin in 1990 and contained such killer songs as "Angel Don't Cry", "In The Heat Of The Night", "Satellite", "Comin' Home", "Lonely Nights" (à la Bon Jovi), "The Key" (a real killer) and of course "Here I Am" (a great hit, already known from their debut album, "Keep In Touch"). What makes this remastered (Robert Papst) reissue even more interesting, is the addition of no less than 7 bonus tracks, among which some special versions of known Dominoe songs as well as some new stuff, such as the up-tempo "Into The Fire", the singalong song "Dance To Somebody" and the instrumental "Harolds Anthem". All I can add is: don't miss Dominoe's finest moment! And a big thank you to Mario Lehmann at NL Distribution for bringing us so many classic albums lately. This is really appreciated.
